George, Do you want Done-For-You "Solo Ads"?
Daniel Scocco here, and this is the Daily Blog Tips newsletter.
As you probably know email lists and newsletters are the most
efficient and powerful way of getting the attention of people.
The major problem is that building a big email list is not easy.
But did you know you can actually purchase space inside other
people's newsletters?
That's called a Solo Ad, and it allows you to rent other people's
entire lists or place 5-10 lines at the bottom of a newsletter,
with a link back to your website or sales page.
You can then use that traffic to sell your products, or to build
your own email list.
If you want to learn more about this strategy or to get someone
to do it for you check out SoloAdsAgency.com. Here's the link:
---> http://SoloAdsAgency.com/register
You can request a free 20 minute consultation with one of
their friendly Traffic Coaches to learn more about Solo Ads.
The founder, Shaqir Hussyin, has been working with Solo Ads for
many years, has helped hundreds of clients get traffic since 2009.
So he knows what he's talking about.

George, Where Do You Get Your Tech News?
Daniel Scocco here, and this is the Daily Blog Tips newsletter.
Google Reader used to be my main source of tech news, as I was
subscribed to most of the top blogs and news sites. Back in July of
this year, however, Google decided to shut it down. Bummer!
After that I started using aggregator sites. That is, websites that
find and organize the top tech news from various sources, putting
it all together in a single page.
One that I discovered recently is Techi.com. They create a
collection of links to the most important tech stories, and
it's updated in real time pretty much. Here's the link:
--> http://bit.ly/16nvnL9
The cool thing about Techi.com is that they crawl a lot of sites to
get the news links, not only the big tech blogs, and they also
publish their own exclusive articles on hot topics. Check it out
and subscribe to their daily newsletter.

George, Joining Online Profits Is A Lot Easier Now
Daniel Scocco here, and this is the Daily Blog Tips newsletter.
As you might remember, a couple of years ago I made a big change on
the payment structure of my Online Profits training program. In
order to join the program you would simply need to create a hosting
account with my partner HostGator. My goal was to create a win-win
situation, where it would be affordable for people to join, and
where I would still earn something out of it (after all I put a lot
of work into the program).
It worked pretty well, with over 1,000 people joining the program
over the past couple of years. Despite that success, however, I
frequently received emails from people who wanted to join the
program but who didn't want to create a new hosting account to
do so, as they already had a hosting plan with some company. They
said they just wanted to be able to pay and get access to the
program, without hassles.
Thinking about this I decided to make it even easier to join the
program. In order to become a member now all you have to do is to
make a single payment of $29, and that's it. You can pay right
away using Paypal and you'll get immediate access to the
members area.
I believe this price makes joining the program a pretty good deal.
Inside you'll get access to one of the most complete programs
on the web, with over 150,000 words worth of content on a wide
range of Internet marketing topics, produced by experts in the
field. You can download all the lessons in MP3 format to listen on
the go, and you'll also get access to a bunch of tools and
resources exclusive for the members, all that for $29.
If you are not a member yet click below to visit the Online Profits
website where you can check all the details and join:

George, Create A List With All Potential Advertisers
Daniel Scocco here, and this is the Daily Blog Tips newsletter.
If you ever attend a marketing or sales course you'll probably
get this tip in very first lesson: save information about all
actual (i.e., people who bought from you) and potential (i.e.
people who expressed interest in your product in some way)
customers, as selling to those will be much easier than selling to
strangers.
Now why do website owners and bloggers who selling advertising
don't follow this same tip? If you think about it's pretty
much the same thing, and it could be just as profitable.
In other words, you should create a list of contacts (with at least
name and email address) of all the people who either expressed
interest in advertising on your website or who actually purchased
an ad. Practically speaking, whenever you receive an email with an
inquiry about advertising, save that contact on your list.
Once you have that list you'll be able to contact it on various
occasions, significantly boosting your advertising profits.
For instance, if you redesign your site and place a new banner spot
you could email your list and ask who would be interested in taking
that spot.
On slow periods where ads are not selling that well you could
create a promotion, say 30% discount, and email it to your list to
see who would be interested.
Not only will you sell more ads, but you will also build a stronger
relationship with those people, which could lead to other types of
collaboration in the future (e.g., giveaways, contests, etc).
Don't have such a list yet? Well, start one today.

George, Read 30 Pages of a Book Every Day
Daniel Scocco here, and this is the Daily Blog Tips newsletter.
Scientia potentia est. It means "knowledge is power" in
Latin. It also means people have known for a long time that the
more you know about how the world works, the better off you will
be. The more you know about something, the more you'll be in
control.
Now what's the easiest way to absorb new knowledge? Reading
books. Ergo if you want to be in control of your life and to be
able to take it in one direction or another, you need to read
books, and lots of them.
So far I think pretty much everyone will agree. The problem then
becomes, how do we make sure we are reading enough?
I, for one, wasn't happy with the amount of books I was reading
in the previous years. The average was probably 6 to 8 books per
year, which I find to be a low number.
Then six months ago or so I decided to try a new strategy: I fixed
a number of pages, 30, and I would read that amount every day no
matter what. One can read 30 pages in 30 minutes, so it's
something you can easily accommodate into your routine. The only
exception was Sunday, which is my day off from all goals,
obligations and what not.
I also made sure to always read at the same time (in my case
it's first thing in the morning), which helps to create a habit.
How is it working? Pretty well, as I've read 12 books in the
past six months, putting the prediction for the whole year at 24
books.
As for what you'll read I believe that is less important, as
sooner or later you'll come across books with information that
will certainly affect your life. I like to mix personal development
with technical books. That way I am always trying to improve both
personally and professionally.
Bottom line: read those 30 pages every day. If you stick to that
habit, in 5 or 10 years you'll be in much better control of
your life.

George, Never Hit Backspace
Daniel Scocco here, and this is the Daily Blog Tips newsletter.
The Backspace key is supposed to be used when you are editing your
piece, and not when you are writing it. Those are two separate
processes, and if you don't separate them your productivity as
a writer will be terrible.
If you work online you know that content is the corner stone of any
blog or website. The more unique and useful content you publish,
the better. In fact even Google likes that. The more content you
put on your website, the higher the trust Google will have on it.
The question then becomes: how can you increase your productivity
as a writer so that you can write more content (without
compromising the quality, obviously). One trick most people
don't use is to separate the writing and the editing processes.
Most people write like these: they write a couple of words, re-read
what they just wrote, think about it, delete one word, and then
proceed to finish the sentence. As you can see, the process is very
inefficient, because you are doing many things at the same time.
A much better approach is to separate the two things. First
you'll write. During this phase your goal is to simply put
words down. You shouldn't care if they make sense, or if they
are grammatically correct. You should just write the words down.
Once you are done writing, then you'll pass to the editing
phase, and that's when you revise the sentences, to see whether
or not they make sense, to fix the spelling and grammatical
mistakes and so on.
By focusing on each phase separately you'll be able to
drastically improve your efficiency on both.
The problem is that entering into a pure "writing state"
is difficult. Most of us have the habit of writing and editing at
the same time, and habits, as you probably know, are hard to drop.
There are two tricks you can use to achieve this: the first one if
to commit to never use the backspace. When on the writing phase
you'll never delete anything, you'll just write new words.
You can only go forward, not backward. I don't care if what you
just wrote makes no sense, you go forward no matter what, as
you'll have time to fix it on the editing phase.
Another trick, slightly more drastic, is to not look at what you
are writing at all. You can look at the keyboard, for instance, or
if you are stubborn you can turn your monitor off. Once you are
done writing you turn it back on and proceed to the editing phase.
If you don't believe me give it a try. Use either of these
methods and check whether or not your writing productivity will
increase.
Now let me turn the monitor back on to see whether or not I made
some spelling mistakes...

Book Recommendation: Secrets of the Millionaire Mind
Daniel Scocco here, and this is the Daily Blog Tips newsletter.
Last week I read a book called "Secrets of the Millionaire Mind:
Mastering the Inner Game of Wealth", and I think it's one of
those books that everyone should read, regardless of your age,
profession and nationality.
As the title suggests the book is about developing the right
mindset about money. What I liked about it, though, is the fact
that it's not focused on the "law of attraction", but
rather on practical things you can do to achieve wealth. I do
believe on the "law of attraction", but there are
countless other books out there that cover that, so having one
focusing on the practical aspects of things was refreshing.
The core of the book are the 17 "wealth files" proposed
by the author, T. Harv Eker. They are:
1. Rich people believe "I create my life." Poor people
believe "Life happens to me."
2. Rich people play the money game to win. Poor people play the
money game to not lose.
3. Rich people are committed to being rich. Poor people want to be
rich.
4. Rich people think big. Poor people think small.
5. Rich people focus on opportunities. Poor people focus on
obstacles.
6. Rich people admire other rich and successful people. Poor people
resent rich and successful people.
7. Rich people associate with positive, successful people. Poor
people associate with negative or unsuccessful people.
8. Rich people are willing to promote themselves and their value.
Poor people think negatively about selling and promotion.
9. Rich people are bigger than their problems. Poor people are
smaller than their problems.
10. Rich people are excellent receivers. Poor people are poor
receivers.
11. Rich people choose to get paid based on results. Poor people
choose to get paid based on time.
12. Rich people think "both". Poor people think
"either/or".
13. Rich people focus on their net worth. Poor people focus on
their working income.
14. Rich people manage their money well. Poor people mismanage
their money well.
15. Rich people have their money work hard for them. Poor people
work hard for their money.
16. Rich people act in spite of fear. Poor people let fear stop
them.
17. Rich people constantly learn and grow. Poor people think they
already know."
Obviously inside the book each "file" is expanded in
great detail, examples are provided and so on. It's not a long
book either, so when you have some free time make sure to read it.

George, Get A Chance to Win 3 Years of Premium Hosting
Daniel Scocco here, and this is the Daily Blog Tips newsletter.
A couple of days ago I was talking with the guys at Zyma, one of
the top hosting companies from the UK, and we figured that it would
be fun to run a contest about ideas for websites.
The contest is pretty simple: you just need to leave a comment on
my blog explaining what kind of website you want to launch. The
more details you can add about your idea and about why you think it
might be popular, the better.
The contest will be open for ten days (so it ends on July 5), and
after that period we'll pick three winners. I'll pick one
(based on the quality/creativity of the website idea), the Zyma
guys will pick another one, and the third one will be picked at
random. Each winner will win a domain name and a paid-up hosting
plan for 3 years with Zyma to develop the website idea.
I think this contest structure is cool because even if you
don't win you still get to to read about other people's
ideas and to get feedback on your own, which could help you to get
an insight or two.
Winners will be announced on a post on July 10, with a round-up of
the best ideas.
What are you waiting for? Here's the link to the post where you
can comment with your idea:

George, Ever Considered Launching an Online Course?
Daniel Scocco here, and this is the DailyBlogTips newsletter.
A couple of weeks ago I came across an online course about web
security. The price tag was right on top of the sales page: $1500.
Quite expensive, but I decided to skim through the information
anyway. The course runs for 12 weeks, and every week you have two
live online sessions with the instructor, where he will present the
content of the course and answer to questions as he goes along.
On top of that there are practical assignments every week (i.e.,
students will need to either defend or attack websites, sometimes
real ones), and a test in the end to ensure you learned all the
essential stuff.
The instructor was pretty qualified, and he also guaranteed on the
sales page that if you passed the test at the end of the course he
would be glad to refer you as a "security consultant" to
any of his contacts.
Guess what. After I was done reading all the information I was
sold! I didn't enroll right away because the next session
coincides with my vacation, and I'll be away from the computer,
but I am definitely signing up for the next one. Here's what
convinced me:
-The content will be delivered live, so you can ask questions and
interact with the instructor
-There are practical tasks and assignments from day 1, so
you'll actually learn to do the stuff
-The overall topic of the course is in high demand and has a lot of
real-life applications
-Once you are done with the course you might even be able to land a
gig thanks to a referral from the instructor
-The instructor is qualified and has a lot of credibility in his
area
What I found interesting is that this model is different from the
traditional online courses we see around.
Usually they cost a lot less (e.g., from $50 to $300), the lessons
are all recorded in advance, and you pretty much need to sort
things out yourself.
With this premium model, instead, the instructor ensures that
you'll learn, apply and so something useful/profitable with the
stuff you'll learn.
If you are an expert in a certain field that is in high demand I
think you should consider creating an online course with such
premium structure. Sure, it will take some work to get things in
place, but once you have it launching it should be both profitable
for you and worthwhile for your students.

George, Do You Use The 30 Days to a Habit Strategy?
Daniel Scocco here, and this is the Daily Blog Tips newsletter.
The premise: many studies and researches found that successful
people tend to have more habits (positive habits, mind you) when
compared to average people. That's because habits add consistency
and discipline to your professional and personal life, traits that
are essential to reaching your goals.
Examples of positive habits one can have:
-Exercising for 30 minutes every morning
-Meditating before going to sleep
-Remembering and using the first name of everyone, on every
interaction
-Learning a new foreign language every couple of years
-Settings goals for the day every morning
-Reading a technical book for 30 minutes every morning
Cool, but how do we go about developing those habits?
The best strategy I have seen so far is this one: at the beginning
of every month you will sit down and decide on which habit you want
to develop over the next 30 days. It can also be a bad habit that
you want to get rid of (e.g., smoking or eating junk food). After
that you commit yourself to stick to the habits for those 30 days.
Once the month is over you may decide to halt it, but most people
find that 30 days is enough to get the habit rooted inside you, so
most of them will stay.
For some habits I find that 30 days is not enough, so in those
cases I commit to sticking to the play for 60 days at least, which
seems to do the trick.
Matt Cutts, head of web spam at Google, is a big fan of this
strategy. In fact if you visit his blog you'll notice a category
titled "30 days". There you'll find all his posts about the
different habits he pursued in the past.
The month is almost over, so which habit will you develop over the
next 30 days?
Talk to you next week,
