Hi George,
Daniel Scocco here, and this is the Daily Blog Tips newsletter.
If you accept guest posts on your blog you should check an
interesting guest blogging platform I came across recently, called
PostJoint. Here's the link:
--> http://www.postjoint.com/bloggers
They basically connect advertisers and content providers with
bloggers. The first group creates the content/guest posts, and the
bloggers choose which pieces they want to publish on their sites.
And here's the interesting part: as a blogger you may charge a
fee to publish the guest posts on your site. How much you charge is
up to you, it could be $10 or $500. Obviously you should choose a
price related to the popularity of your site (e.g., traffic and
subscribers) if you want to attract guest posts regularly.
I exchanged a couple of emails with the owner of the plataform, and
he told me some of their users are generating four figures monthly
from the fees collected by accepting the guest posts.
Another important point is that the platform is not a marketplace
for product reviews or a blog network, as there are some out there.
This is to make sure bloggers participating won't get penalized
by Google. In fact you can add the nofollow tag on links if you
prefer, to be 100% compliant with Google.
Overall it's a nice idea, and if you get in early you can start
building your profile before others do so. Here's the link again
where you can signup for the free beta:

Talk to you next week,
Daniel Scocco
